The www.supportukraine24.org website was created as an answer for our SUPPORT UKRAINE aid programme which is an counteraction towards Russia’s barbaric military aggression against Ukraine.

Ukrainian refugee crisis was caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine and began with the invasion of Russian troops on February 24, 2022.

According to UNHCR data by March 18, 2022 over 3,328,692 people has left Ukraine of which 2,010,693 went to Poland, 299,273 to Hungary, 240,009 to Slovakia, 359,056 to Moldova, 518,269 to Romania, rest to other countries. Only a small part of refugees applied for refugee in Moldova and Romania – most indicated Poland as their destination country.

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees projects that on the European Union territory will soon be between 2.5 and 6.5 million and perhaps even 7 million, refugees from Ukraine, mostly women and children. There are many indications that these people will mostly decide to stay in Poland.

The priority task for the SUPPORT UKRAINE programme is to provide long-term assistance for the Ukraine refugees staying in Poland as well as to receive and send humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

After the end of Russian aggression and the withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine it will be equally important to help rebuild Ukraine and allow refugees from Ukraine to return to their own country.
